Our boss dog, Bingo, is 13 years old tomorrow. Happy birthday!

Of course, we really don't know when her birthday is because mom says dad got her from a man who did not know or care, but July 11 is the birth date she decided on. She says she can always remember the number 11.

Bingo is mean to me sometimes, but most of the time she is a pretty good boss. She doesn't do as much bossing as she used to, mom says, because she is crippled and very old. Mom says Zipper is Bingo's second in command and will take over as boss when Bingo is gone. I'd say Zipper pretty much has the boss thing down pat already! Still, if Bingo doesn't like something, Zipper agrees with her. Always.

Nobody messes with Bimbo (that's what we call her sometimes 'cause she thinks it's funny). If they try they get in trouble with Zipper and usually with Shiloh, too. Mom says Shiloh is Bingo's enforcer. She says Shiloh is a thug. LOL Well, it isn't funny really because Shiloh scares me sometimes when she yells at me for no reason.

Mom says Bingo is losing her sight and her hearing. Mom's eyes get all funny and shiny when she says stuff like that. She says Bingo gets to have her maple nut goodies every day, now. I like them, too, but mom says they aren't for sharing anymore. She said we'll get some for ourselves soon enough. And then her eyes go all funny and shiny again.

I don't know what all that means but mom is making Bingo a special cake for her birthday. I hope I get to have some, too. Happy birthday, Bimbo!
